Position Responsibilities:
Join our team as a Business Analyst specializing in IT, cybersecurity, and identity and access management (IAM) domains. In this role, you will quickly assimilate domain knowledge, conduct thorough research and analysis, and present business requirements in clear, audience-appropriate formats. You will play a key role in Agile teams, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver valuable business solutions and influence decisions for maximum customer value.
- Manage regular Agile cadences for story definition, writing, review, and prioritization, ensuring a well-refined backlog that supports team velocity.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, SMEs, and business partners to understand and communicate product vision and client needs to the delivery team.
- Lead the research and analysis of business requirements, providing comprehensive information and context for productive story writing sessions.
- Review, create, and maintain process flow and system maps that document required business analysis deliverables.
- Simplify complex problems into clear narratives, infographics, presentations, and other visual aids.
- Work alongside Product Owners and Delivery Leads to ensure roadmaps reflect changing business priorities.
- Evaluate alternatives and document the most valuable solutions to business problems, identifying and defining acceptance criteria and story dependencies.
- Facilitate backlog refinement and prioritization based on clear acceptance criteria and dependencies.
- Deliver timely, client-focused communications and proactively address stakeholder concerns or questions.
- Provide consulting on information security technology to align with and satisfy business needs.
- Review design and technical specification documents to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Understand and anticipate evolving business environments to support future client needs.
Essential Skills, Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in business analysis and 2 years working as a business analyst in Agile environments.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, LEAN, and Kanban, with experience in backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Expertise in gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements for IT and cybersecurity projects, especially in IAM, user provisioning, de-provisioning, RBAC, and PAM.
- Familiarity with enterprise IAM platforms such as SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience supporting IAM-related audit, compliance, and access review processes aligned with frameworks like NIST, SOX, or Zero Trust principles.
- Ability to conduct efficient interviews with stakeholders, SMEs, and users to clarify needs and translate them into actionable requirements and business analysis deliverables.
- Strong aptitude for systems thinking, process flow mapping, functional decomposition, and visualization of complex systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercising seasoned professional judgment in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
- Exceptional communication skills across all levels—verbal, written, visual, and interpersonal—with the ability to present technical and business information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Driven to provide exceptional consulting, anticipating and responding to client needs proactively and professionally.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor less-experienced analysts in medium- and high-complexity requirements efforts.
- Experience collaborating with Director and VP-level leadership, as well as cross-functional teams.
- Ability to perform and document gap analyses and contribute to testing, project management, compliance, operational/disaster recovery, and maintenance in IT settings.
- Knowledgeable in NERC regulatory compliance, NIST framework, and SOX compliance standards.
- Experience in the energy/utilities sector is a plus.
- Certification such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), CCBA, or relevant credentials is advantageous.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years of relevant business analysis experience (3+ years focused on business analysis; 2+ years in an Agile environment).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SAFe, CCBA) preferred but not required.
- Special consideration for experience with governance, risk, compliance, cybersecurity, and working with high-level business stakeholders.
