Position Title:     Product Specialist I

Location Information  Hybrid – Kansas City

 

Position Responsibilities:


This key role is responsible for managing data reconciliation and providing system administrative support for a variety of energy efficiency and demand response programs within the Demand Side Management (DSM) organization, serving both residential and commercial customers. You will work closely with program managers to support budgetary efforts, assist in customer IT capital projects, and serve as the primary interface with outside vendors and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely data transfers. Additionally, you will collaborate with Product Managers to maintain product requirements and support product/process implementation.

 

Essential Skills, Experience


  • Experience managing data reconciliation and providing system administration support, ideally in the context of energy efficiency, demand response, or similar utility-based programs.
  • General understanding of demand side management (DSM) concepts, including energy efficiency and demand response programs.
  • Experience supporting program managers with program budgets, customer IT capital projects, and vendor/sub-contractor relationship management.
  • Ability to facilitate successful program data transfers and ensure integrity and accuracy of data captured in systems of record.
  • Experience maintaining product requirements and assisting with product or process implementation efforts.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in data management and reporting.
  • Proficiency with data mining and data analysis; experience with SQL queries is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with both internal teams and external stakeholders (including vendors and customers).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, economics, marketing, or related field strongly preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 4 years directly related experience) will be considered.
