Position Title: Project Manager – Paragon Implementation/Integrations
Location Information
Remote (5+ month contract)
Position Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead Paragon system implementations and upgrades. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering successful deployments, system enhancements, and version upgrades. You will work cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while facilitating collaboration between business, IT stakeholders, and vendors. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end Paragon implementation and upgrade projects from planning through execution, testing, and go-live support
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
- Collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to define requirements and align systems with operational needs
- Oversee all activities related to data migration, integrations, system configuration, and system validation
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Facilitate regular status meetings, providing timely updates and addressing concerns with project leadership
- Ensure comprehensive documentation, effective training, and smooth post-implementation support
Essential Skills, Experience
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- At least 7 years of project management experience, preferably within healthcare IT or clinical environments
- Strong working knowledge of EMR/EHR systems, with direct experience in Paragon or similar system upgrades and implementations
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder IT projects with success delivering results on time and within budget
- Proficiency in using Smartsheet or comparable project planning and execution tools
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven capability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, maintaining composure and professionalism
- Strong emotional intelligence, accountability, and a high level of professionalism when interacting with diverse project teams
Qualifications:
- PMP or other recognized project management certifications are a plus
- Previous involvement in healthcare IT upgrade cycles using waterfall project management methodologies (preferred)
- Must be current on all required vaccinations (willingness to provide records required)
- Willingness to receive a flu shot in the fall if required by assignment
- No extended time off permitted during the contract term unless advance notice is provided; limited, pre-planned time off is acceptable
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
