Position Title:     Project Manager – SAP Deployment

Location Information  

New Orleans, Louisiana (Onsite Preferred; Some Remote Flexibility)

Position Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and drive the deployment of SAP S4 Hana, Hexagon SDX, and Aviva Pi systems in New Orleans. In this role, you will act as the owner’s representative for the project, serving as a crucial liaison between internal teams, external parties, and managed service providers. Your primary objective will be to ensure seamless coordination, clear communication, and successful accomplishment of key project milestones.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between internal stakeholders, external project partners, and the managed service provider throughout project duration.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of SAP S4 Hana, Hexagon SDX, and Aviva Pi deployment efforts at the New Orleans site.
  • Translate and communicate technical requirements and project updates between IT leadership, business users, and technical teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor and track project progress, proactively identifying potential risks, challenges, and issues.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and status updates to ensure stakeholders are aligned and objectives are clearly communicated.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, schedules, action items, and deliverables, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Support the project from initial planning through key deployment phases, including multiple rollout waves (scheduled for April and July).
  • Adapt to a dynamic reporting structure, which may include reporting to executive leadership, technology managers, or lead consultants.

 

Essential Skills, Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • Extensive project management experience in complex software deployments, with the ability to adapt quickly in high-expectation, fast-paced environments.
  • Previous experience managing or participating in SAP system rollouts (S4 Hana experience preferred), or comparable enterprise-scale deployment projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and varying stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical information and project requirements between service providers and business users.
  • Proven capacity for proactive issue resolution, risk analysis, and driving teams toward successful project milestones.
  • Strong documentation, meeting facilitation, and project reporting skills.
  • Ability to operate with agility in a dynamic organization with evolving reporting structures and multiple stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes on schedule.
  • Capability and willingness to work onsite in New Orleans, with flexibility for occasional remote work as project needs allow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not required with relevant experience).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience with SAP S4 Hana, Hexagon SDX, or Aviva Pi deployment is highly desirable.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required.

This contract position is anticipated to start as soon as possible and will run for an initial six-month period, with multiple deployment waves planned and strong potential for extension based on project progression and business needs.
