Position Title: Director, Technology (Data Architect)      

Location Information: Kansas City or Memphis

Position Responsibilities:

– Design, develop, and optimize data models, pipelines, and integrations using Postgres, Apache, and related technologies.

– Implement and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows; experience with Airflow is ideal, but not required.

– Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 data engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and career development.

– Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business needs and translating them into effective technical solutions.

Essential Skills, Experience

– 8+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or related technical roles.

– Strong experience with Postgres, Apache, and Python.

– Exposure to Airflow (or willingness to learn quickly).

– Proven people management experience (leading 3–4 engineers).

– Excellent client-facing and communication skills; able to lead conversations with senior stakeholders.

– Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance hands-on technical work and leadership responsibilities.
