- Integrating and managing data persistence with Oracle and Snowflake, including both SQL and PL/SQL.
- Configuring and optimizing data connection pools (e.g., HikariCP) for reliability and performance.
- Maintaining rigorous standards for dependency and CVE remediation, adhering to SCA/quality gates (e.g., Nexus IQ, SonarQube).
- Participating in peer code reviews, troubleshooting, and hands-on debugging of complex codebases.
- Leveraging TDD with JUnit and Java build tools like Maven or Gradle to deliver maintainable and testable solutions.
- Utilizing GitLab and modern IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ) for source control and code management.
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment in a collaborative Agile environment.
Essential Skills, Experience

- Substantial experience with Angular (TypeScript) for single-page application (SPA) development, alongside strong HTML and CSS skills.
- Deep proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience working with Oracle databases (including PL/SQL) and Snowflake. Experience with connection pooling/configuration (e.g., HikariCP) is a plus.
- Demonstrable discipline around dependency and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) remediation, and familiarity with managing software quality gates through tools such as Nexus IQ and SonarQube.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and adapt to both modern and legacy application environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities within complex codebases.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience maintaining or enhancing legacy Java web applications, specifically using JSP, JSF, and PrimeFaces driven by Oracle metadata tables.
- Familiarity with GitLab for version control, IntelliJ as a primary IDE, and relevant project management/tracking tools (e.g., Kiro).
- Test-driven development (TDD) with JUnit, and experience using Java build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Understanding of insurance or financial regulatory-data domains.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab CI.
- Working experience within Agile or SAFe teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience as a full stack developer, preferably in enterprise environments.
- Relevant certifications in Java, cloud computing, or Agile methodologies are a plus.
