Position Title: Information Security Project Manager

Position Responsibilities:

As an Information Security Project Manager, you will be instrumental in advancing the organization's cybersecurity maturity and operational effectiveness. This role is responsible for leading key information security initiatives, ensuring they are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within defined scope, while maintaining compliance with relevant standards and methodologies.

You will coordinate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders—including Legal, Leadership, IT Product Owners, Infrastructure, and Application Teams—driving change, supporting the implementation of new regulations, and enhancing overall cybersecurity practices. Exceptional communication and the ability to translate between business and technical teams are key requirements for success in this role.

• Lead and deliver security-related projects and programs following established methodologies, tools, and procedures.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project plans, timelines, and tracking status to all impacted resources and stakeholders.
• Manage project scope, change requests, risk mitigation, and project timelines, addressing priorities across multiple product teams and stakeholder groups.
• Coordinate efforts across cross-functional product teams, balancing conflicting priorities and complex dependencies.
• Facilitate clear and consistent communication with complex stakeholder groups and demanding internal customers, ensuring alignment and satisfaction while meeting deadlines.
• Design and deliver executive-quality presentations, reports, and concise status one-pagers for both leadership and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Oversee pilots and exploratory initiatives involving emerging technologies, such as AI platforms, to evaluate and document high-value use cases in the information security space.
• Maintain comprehensive change documentation and develop process guides to enable sustained adoption of new tools and standards.
• Partner with key business units (Legal, Leadership, IT ownership) to drive successful project outcomes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage the implementation of new regulations and information security standards, including (but not limited to) NIST 800-171 and ISO 27001.

Essential Skills, Experience

The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical and business acumen, leadership, and strong communication capabilities. You should be adept at navigating both operational and strategic security initiatives in dynamic, high-stakes environments.

• Passion for delivering outstanding cybersecurity solutions and elevating security postures.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in an IT environment or leading IT-related projects.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects and compliance-based initiatives.
• Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity practices and frameworks.
• Experience with audit and compliance standards such as SOC 1, SOC 2, NIST 800-171/CMMC, or ISO 27001 is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional ability to translate concepts between technical and business audiences, facilitating clear understanding across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation—with the ability to address both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Demonstrated self-motivation and independence, with the capability to manage projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
