Position Title: Network Assurance Consultant

Position Responsibilities:
The Network Assurance Consultant will play a key role in conducting comprehensive assessments of network infrastructure with a specific focus on supporting the deployment of Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) systems in federal facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for detailed analysis, thorough documentation, and providing actionable recommendations to ensure the readiness, capacity, and security of network environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform detailed analyses of Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) infrastructures to identify changes and enhancements needed to support EHRM deployments.
- Assess network infrastructure components at federal facilities, including wiring closets, computer rooms, inter-building wiring, mobile buses, and all forward-deployed hardware locations.
- Conduct comprehensive computer room and infrastructure assessments, analyzing and documenting requirements for power capacity and distribution, cooling systems, physical space, network and power connections, and per-rack server and network needs.
- Evaluate facility-wide infrastructure needs, including those at mobile and remote sites, and provide insight into installation locations and timeline requirements.
- Analyze current network capacity, document the baseline, and forecast projected capacity requirements for EHRM systems, identifying any capacity gaps and required upgrades.
- Recommend network modifications and upgrades as necessary to ensure optimal performance of all relevant systems and devices.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation such as:
- Complete LAN and WLAN configuration specifications
- Network performance metrics and benchmarks
- Security configuration and compliance status
- Wireless coverage maps and analysis
- Comprehensive network readiness assessments for facilities designated to run EHRM applications
- Travel to federal facilities as required (up to 50% travel), with the flexibility to work remotely and adjust work hours as project needs dictate, within local regulatory guidelines.
- Work in accordance with all corporate and organizational security policies and procedures. Understand and fulfill the responsibility of safeguarding all company and client assets, and proactively prevent and report any security compromises.
- Perform additional responsibilities as directed by management or project leadership.
Essential Skills, Experience
- Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive network infrastructure assessments within large, complex, multi-location environments.
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure design, configuration, and best practices.
- Expertise in network performance and capacity analysis, including identifying and resolving bottlenecks or gaps.
- Experience with computer room design and assessment, including understanding power, cooling, and physical space considerations for IT equipment.
- Ability to develop thorough technical documentation, network assessment reports, and network diagrams, including configuration specifications and wireless coverage maps.
- Understanding of network and data security principles, practices, and compliance standards relevant to federal and healthcare environments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to document findings, present recommendations, and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities; able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to various federal facilities across multiple locations as needed.
- Demonstrated flexibility for working additional or irregular hours based on project needs and within regulatory constraints.
