Position Title:     Senior Software Developer

Position Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, security, and modernization of proprietary applications using the latest technologies. You will work collaboratively within an Agile sprint environment, focusing on code reviews, new feature development, and ongoing improvement of existing code.

• Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure deliverables meet best practices, security guidelines, and modern development standards.
• Actively participate in Agile sprints, including planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to align development output with business objectives.
• Identify and address technical debt to continually improve code quality and maintainability.
• Ensure that all code is developed with a focus on scalability, security, and architectural alignment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve development and production environment issues, contributing to system stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver features and enhancements.
• Engage in proactive problem-solving, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote and enforce secure coding practices across all stages of development.

 

Essential Skills, Experience

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience developing enterprise applications.
• Strong proficiency in C# and React, with deep object-oriented programming knowledge.
• Advanced experience with MS SQL Server, including performance tuning and database optimization.
• Expertise in legacy application architectures, including ASP.NET, VB.NET, and Web Forms.
• Exposure to Python is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with core Azure Services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, etc.).
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Git-based version control systems.
• Demonstrated experience performing thorough code reviews and upholding best security practices in software development.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience collaborating with distributed development teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in development and production environments.
• Clear communication abilities, both with technical team members and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures is preferred.
• Knowledge in AI/ML technologies or rule-based engines is an advantage.
• Demonstrated understanding of security best-practices for both cloud-based and on-premise application development.
• Strong initiative, imagination, and ability to think creatively to solve business problems and optimize workflows.
