Position Title: Security Engineer (Cloud, Zscaler, Proofpoint, Crowdstrike)

Position Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Security Engineer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to design, implement, and manage security controls across multiple cloud environments, ensuring advanced protection for users and organizational data. You will work hands-on with leading security platforms, and collaborate cross-functionally to develop and enforce robust security strategies.
- Cloud Security Engineering:
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls and best practices within AWS (required), and preferably also Azure and GCP environments.
- Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure secure cloud operations and automate security controls supporting application development.
- Zscaler Administration:
- Administer and optimize Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) deployments across the organization.
- Enforce and tune security policies, resolve connectivity or policy issues, and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting.
- Proofpoint Administration:
- Manage Proofpoint email security, data loss prevention (DLP), threat intelligence, and incident response platforms.
- Optimize security workflows and policies to reduce the risks associated with phishing and email compromise.
- CrowdStrike Suite:
- Deploy, administer, and monitor the CrowdStrike Falcon platform including endpoint protection (EDR) and related modules.
- Analyze alerts, investigate threats, and respond to incidents identified by CrowdStrike.
- Security Operations & Incident Response:
- Analyze security events and conduct vulnerability assessments across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Participate in incident response activities and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Cross-Platform Security Initiatives:
- Develop scripts and automation to support security controls (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
- Conduct comprehensive security reviews, risk assessments, and audits for multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
- Support enterprise CERT/Incident Response functions as needed.
Essential Skills, Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in information security engineering roles, with direct hands-on responsibility for cloud environments.
- Advanced proficiency with AWS security technologies and best practices is required; additional experience with Azure and/or GCP is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise administering Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) and Proofpoint platforms.
- Strong experience with the full CrowdStrike suite (endpoint detection and response, threat intelligence, prevention, etc.).
- Solid scripting and automation abilities using PowerShell, Python, Bash or similar languages.
- In-depth understanding of core networking concepts, security appliances, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and related technology stacks.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
- Ability to design and enforce policies, conduct thorough risk assessments, and support security audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent professional experience.
Qualifications:
- Cloud security certifications are strongly preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer, GCP Professional Security Engineer).
- Industry-recognized security certifications (CISSP, CEH, GIAC, etc.) are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with SOAR or SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with data loss prevention, email fraud, and secure software development standards.
- Background working in a regulated or large-scale enterprise environment is advantageous.
