Position Responsibilities:

As a BI Reports Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of reporting solutions for a newly built application environment. You will be responsible for building and delivering reporting tools from the ground up, leveraging your expertise in Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL. This opportunity is ideal for motivated developers eager to create robust reporting layers and support business-critical decision-making processes. Your primary focus will be report building and enhancement, not merely maintaining existing solutions. Since there are no inherited or legacy reports, you will be architecting solutions from scratch and developing a foundation for scalable, modern business intelligence.

Essential Skills, Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI as the primary reporting platform.
• Proficiency with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Strong SQL skills, including query development, optimization, and data transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to create business reports and dashboards for brand new systems, with no previous templates or existing reports to build upon.
• Experience developing and maintaining the reporting layer within modern application environments.
• Proven ability to support post-launch reporting needs by implementing enhancements, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with business stakeholders to evolve reporting solutions.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and an innovative approach to building new reporting solutions from the ground up.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and present complex information effectively.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Databricks or similar data platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous experience as a BI Developer, Reporting Developer, or similar role building BI solutions from inception.
