Position Responsibilities:


The Sales Analyst will play a pivotal role in providing valuable analysis and actionable insights to drive sales efficiency, revenue growth, and client loyalty. Key responsibilities include analyzing both quantitative and qualitative sales and marketing data to identify trends, evaluate market and competitive dynamics, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position is instrumental in optimizing sales processes, maintaining data integrity, developing measurable KPI metrics, and identifying growth opportunities.

  • Build strong relationships and serve as a trusted advisor with internal teams, including product, marketing, sales, IT, credit, and HR stakeholders.
  • Leverage both internal and external data sources to identify and develop account targeting plans that provide sales teams with specific customer and prospect targets by product category, segment, and market.
  • Develop ideal customer profiles and playbooks to pinpoint campaign opportunities and strategies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into effective, data-driven reporting solutions.
  • Identify bottlenecks in sales cycles and workflows to increase pipeline velocity and drive productivity.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of product, competitor, channel, and customer trends to uncover insights and recommend actions that support business growth.
  • Explore, source, and recommend third-party data to assist sales and marketing with market analytics, business case development, and prospect identification.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for sales and support teams using Power BI.
  • Utilize CRM and other tools to manage and analyze customer information, and identify opportunities for improving customer and prospect data collection.
  • Communicate data and actionable insights clearly to cross-functional internal stakeholders.
  • Support other marketing and sales enablement projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Analyze client feedback regarding products and services, and recommend improvements based on this information.
  • Participate in data governance efforts to promote a healthy, compliant data environment.
  • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

 

Essential Skills, Experience

  • Demonstrated experience with sales, customer, CRM, reporting, and financial data systems.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and investigative skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently, and address challenges proactively.
  • Adaptable to change and able to work effectively in a regulated environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in report planning, forecasting, data analysis, and CRM systems required.
  • Direct experience working with sales teams in a data-driven or analytics capacity.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for developing and maintaining reports and dashboards.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM system.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including report creation, review, and data modeling capabilities.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business analytics, business administration, or similar. MBA or master’s degree is helpful but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales analytics, reporting, or a related field.
  • Power BI Data Analyst certification or equivalent is strongly desired.
