Position Title: Sr. Agile Program Manager
Location Information Remote (Based out of Kansas City)
Position Responsibilities:
The Sr. Agile Program Manager is responsible for strategizing, governing, and executing enterprise-level Agile programs that span various business units, platforms, and value streams. You will act as a strategic partner to business and technology leaders, ensuring organizational initiatives are closely aligned with company goals, governed meticulously, and delivered in accordance with best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the organization’s lead for Targetprocess (TP) platform administration, supporting adoption, continuing maturity, and ongoing evolution.
- Ensure Targetprocess supports portfolio management, Agile practices, capacity planning, reporting, and decision-making across the enterprise.
- Drive process improvements and governance standards, foster training initiatives, expand reporting capabilities, and implement platform enhancements to boost Agile maturity and transparency.
- Own and facilitate the enterprise project and portfolio intake process from initiation to approval, ensuring initiatives are effectively evaluated, prioritized, funded, and aligned with strategic objectives and resource capacity.
- Champion continuous improvement and enterprise agility, partnering with EPMO leadership, Agile coaches, product managers, and delivery teams to enhance Agile practices, improve portfolio visibility, and advance organizational maturity.
Essential Skills, Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline—or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7–10 years of experience in Agile delivery, program management, portfolio management, or enterprise transformation roles.
- Demonstrated expertise administering, configuring, governing, and optimizing Targetprocess.
- Extensive experience managing portfolio intake, prioritization, governance, and capacity planning processes in a complex environment.
- Exceptional facilitation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with proven conflict resolution abilities.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels, including with executive leadership.
- Strong systems-thinking orientation; adept at navigating ambiguity and organizational complexity to drive outcomes.
Systems & Technology Requirements
- Advanced proficiency with Targetprocess, including administration, configuration, reporting, governance, and process design.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite / Microsoft 365.
- Working knowledge of Slack, Mural, Jira, and related Agile delivery tools.
- Experience with enterprise reporting and data tools including Snowflake, ThoughtSpot, and iSite.
Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Agilist (SA), PMP, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
- Experience managing enterprise portfolio management tools and reporting frameworks is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to data, analytics, or technology modernization initiatives is a plus.
- Experience in regulated industries—insurance, government, healthcare, or financial services—is an advantage.
