Position Title: NetApps Consultant
Location Information
Remote | 6-12 Month Contract
Position Responsibilities:
As a NetApps Consultant, your role will focus on the end-to-end management and optimization of NetApp storage environments. You will take on critical responsibilities in the administration and support of storage solutions, contributing to operational excellence and system reliability. Key functions will include:
- Administering and supporting NetApp storage environments, particularly ONTAP, Network Attached Storage (NAS), and Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies.
- Configuring, provisioning, upgrading, and maintaining storage resources for optimal performance and availability.
- Monitoring storage usage and performance, identifying potential issues, and proactively troubleshooting and resolving them to ensure continuous operation.
- Implementing and supporting backup, replication, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud storage solutions.
- Diagnosing and addressing hardware, software, and storage connectivity issues across enterprise environments.
- Collaborating closely with infrastructure, operations, and cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and service quality.
- Documenting technical procedures, configurations, and system changes while adhering to best operational practices and organizational standards.
Essential Skills, Experience
- Expertise in administering and supporting NetApp enterprise storage solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of SAN and NAS protocols, including NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.
- Hands-on experience with ONTAP storage administration, including troubleshooting and optimizing storage performance.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and storage connectivity problems in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with enterprise backup, replication, disaster recovery strategies, and hybrid cloud storage architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on communication and delivering clear, comprehensive documentation.
- Demonstrated success working both independently and as part of a multifunctional team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to following best practices and maintaining up-to-date technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- NetApp Hybrid Cloud Certification
- NCDA – NetApp Certified Data Administrator (ONTAP)
- NCSE – NetApp Certified Support Engineer Professional
- NCSE OS – NetApp Certified Support Engineer, ONTAP Specialist
- NAHSE – NetApp Accredited Hardware Support Engineer
