Position Title: Business Project Manager III

Location Information  

Hybrid; Local Candidates to Bay Area, CA Only

Position Responsibilities:

As a Business Project Manager III, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end management of multiple projects, ensuring that each project is properly scoped, scheduled, resourced, and executed to meet organizational objectives. You will actively oversee each stage of the project, manage key deliverables, and maintain rigorous control over the project's scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include planning and initiating new project activities, defining clear requirements, writing key documents such as statements of work and technical deliverables, and facilitating meetings with technical teams, stakeholders, and vendors. You will be accountable for maintaining project documentation, effectively delegating tasks, building strong working relationships across teams, and ensuring that expectations are communicated and managed throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will use a variety of project management and reporting tools, proactively address risks and scope changes, and manage financials to keep each initiative on track. The role also requires hands-on site visits and periodic post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

 

Essential Skills, Experience


  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional business projects with full accountability for deliverables, schedule, and budget adherence.
  • Proficiency in defining project scopes, developing resource plans, creating schedules, and setting up tools and templates in systems such as Planisware or CSD Intake and Execution Tools.
  • Experience developing project documentation, including statements of work, requirements documents, test plans, and related technical deliverables.
  • Strong communication abilities for facilitating technical and status meetings, producing clear meeting notes and follow-up action items.
  • Proven organizational skills in maintaining timely, accessible project documentation and managing complex project files.
  • Ability to manage and delegate tasks, ensuring all team members and stakeholders remain aligned and accountable.
  • Solid experience building strong working relationships critical to project success, both internally and with external vendors or subcontractors.
  • Competence in using project management and reporting tools (such as Planisware, Ariba, SAP, Forecasts, and Jira) for project tracking and financial management.
  • Expertise in proactively identifying project risks, managing scope changes, and implementing effective contingency plans.
  • Hands-on approach, including the ability to conduct walk downs/physical site visits as needed.
  • Experience capturing lessons learned, conducting post-mortem evaluations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks under tight deadlines, and flexibly adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and project management software.
  • Capacity to gain cooperation from all levels of management, stakeholders, clients, and partners.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or minimum of six years of direct project management experience.
