Position Title:Material Engineer

Location Information: Midwest – 80% Travel

Position Responsibilities:

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of telecom/networking equipment.
• Testing and upgrades on network infrastructure.
• Response to service outages and alarms.
• Inventory management and documentation.
• Collaboration with NOC, engineers, and vendors.
• Compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
• Field site visits for installations and repairs.
• Material characterization, testing, and analysis.
• Recommendation of suitable materials for network applications.
• Monitoring and analysis of material performance.
• Preparation of reports and documentation.
• Integration of new materials and vendor coordination.
• Stay informed on materials science advancements.

Essential Skills, Experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in testing and analyzing materials.
• Proficiency in data analysis and laboratory testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in materials development or testing.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
