Payroll Analyst

Position Title: Payroll Analyst 

Location Information: Hybrid – Rocklin, CA

Position Responsibilities:

• • Serve as a liaison between employees and third-party payroll vendors to ensure accurate processing of employee payroll according to company-specific pay policies.
• • Audit and reconcile employee pay records based on departmental cost center, location, etc. Participate in payroll system upgrades and implementations.
• • Resolve outstanding payroll inquiries by working directly with employees. Ensure correct FLSA status and interpretation of pay policies, such as vacation, LOA, disability, workers' compensation, withholding exemptions, etc. Calculate and apply correct amounts/deductions to various accounts.
• • Ensure company compliance with federal and state payroll standards. Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws.
• • Assist with audits, such as internal, state, and federal audits for employee classification and payment accuracy. Prepare tax reports and documentation. Document payroll processes and procedures.
• • Provide training to other payroll staff and act as a backup for specialized tasks or activities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• • Prior experience in Payroll processing and/or Payroll operations
• • Prefer 3+ years of Payroll experience
