Position Title: Systems Engineer

Location Information: Onsite – Odessa, TX

Position Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer provides technical advice and support to Oracle personnel. Responsibilities include superior customer service skills, effective communication and collaboration, proactive problem solving, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Duties may vary, but generally include adherence to established roles, processes, and procedures. The Systems Engineer will receive general instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments. They will perform moderately complex problem solving with some guidance and complete tasks independently within defined policies and procedures.

Essential Skills & Expertise:

– 1-3 years of experience in a technical support environment.

– Attainment of one or more IT related certifications.

– Working knowledge of PC/laptop hardware architecture.

– Working knowledge of DOS/Windows suite and LAN composition.

– LAN experience with Ethernet technology (10base2, 10baseT, 100baseT).

– Protocol experience including TCPIP, IPX/SPX, NetBios.
