Position Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Hybrid KC

Position Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Manager will lead initiatives focused on modernizing legacy applications, integrating web services and middleware, and delivering high-quality technology solutions in the insurance domain. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead projects focused on modernizing legacy systems, integrating web services, middleware, and enterprise data warehouses (EDWs).
• Ensure project goals align with strategic business objectives, delivering scalable and efficient technology solutions.
• Manage EDW projects, including the design, implementation, and optimization of data architectures.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business intelligence teams to ensure seamless integration and reporting capabilities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating technical challenges into actionable business solutions.
• Leverage Power BI to create detailed dashboards and reports, providing insights into project performance, data trends, and business impacts.
• Implement and maintain a security-first approach across all project activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Advocate for Agile methodologies, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and guide teams toward delivering iterative, high-quality results.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to EDW, legacy system modernization, and middleware integration projects.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in insurance technology, enterprise data warehousing, and application development to drive innovation.

Essential Skills & Expertise:

• Proven experience managing complex projects, including legacy application modernization, middleware integration, and enterprise data warehouses.
• Strong understanding of EDW architecture, data modeling, and business intelligence tools.
• Proficiency in Power BI for creating visualizations and performance dashboards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing and negotiating with executives.
• Solid knowledge of security principles, compliance, and risk management in the insurance sector.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
